Surgery Preparation

A. Intubation

  1. Intubate dogs with endotracheal tube to ensure patent airway (Figure 1).
  2. Use size 608 1/2, depending on size of dog (Figure 2).
  3. Secure a rubber band around the tube, then around the dog's muzzle (Figure 3).
  4. Inflate cuff with air using a 12 ml syringe (Figure 4).
