Post-Surgical Care

Dogs are given Butorphanol tartrate (10mg/ml) (Torbugesic° ) analgesic by I.M. or S.C. injection, and Amoxicillin (100mg/ml) antibiotic by I.M. or S.C. injection. These should be administered at the time of Surgical Preparation.

Dose: Butorphanol (10mg/ml)

Dogs are allowed to recover in shelter facility overnight and released the next morning. Dogs chewing at incision site should be kept until incision is healed.
